The purposes for which the RCTA was established are: a) To promote the bicycle as a safe means of transport and recreation. b) To improve the quality of bicycles and accessories. c) To represent the bicycle industry in matters such as: i) Safety ii) Standards iii) Government Legislation d) To establish and maintain ethical standards within the retail bicycle industry. e) To keep members informed on all matters related to: i) Wages and conditions of employment ii) Appropriate standards for the bicycle industry f) To encourage industry training, both mechanical and retail g) To provide for the efficient running of the Association.
