Employment in the bicycle industry can provide you with the means to live while enjoying living.
To find a job in the bike industry your best bet is to start local, and ask your local bike shop(s).
Working as a bike mechanic is rewarding and satisfying. It usually involves training, and traineeships are often available.
Retail work is similar to that in other kinds of shops, but if your passion is cycling, then selling bikes and accessories may be the job for you. Warning, you must like people and dealing with their needs and concerns if you want to be great at this job.
