VELO BICYCLES is one of Australia's Premier bicycle retail stores, situated on Brisbane's Inner North, stocking leading brands such as Pinarello, Colnago, Time, BMC, LOOK and TREK.

We are looking for full time bicycle mechanic with previous local or international experience in servicing and assembly of  high end road bicycles.

Duties could also include some bicycle and component sales where product knowledge is a must. Competitive salary and hours to be negotiated based on industry experience and demonstrated knowledge/skills.

Position title: bicycle mechanic

Employment type: Permanent full time, (6 month probation period)

Applicants must have a strong background and experience in the role of bicycle mechanic and the ability to work in a team.
The position is primarily based in the workshop on servicing and repairs and setup of new/second hand bikes.

On the job training and TAFE level training/qualification may be available in the position however a bicycle industry background is required.

Some flexibility is available however a ability to work full time and a commitment to the position of professional bicycle mechanic is essential.

Bicycle Mechanic - Vacancy     THIS POSITION FILLED, CHECK BACK LATER

We are, sadly, losing our highly regarded Senior Mechanic. So Bayside Bike Hub, Hampton East, is seeking an experienced mechanic to manage a busy workshop and contribute significantly to the operation of the store.

Key Attributes Required:
At least three years current bicycle workshop experience, with excellent knowledge and skills, covering the full range of bicycles / components:
Solid customer service experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Sound knowledge of POS operation
Must be able to maintain an efficient and immaculate open workshop (you will literally be ‘on stage’)
Must be a ‘people’ person and capable of advising and supervising trainee mechanics
Ability to meet tight deadlines and cope under pressure (Christmas is not far away and you will know what that means).
